A dedicated ENT clinic in Old Perungalathur, Tambaram, founded in 2018 by Dr. Udayakumar, MBBS, MS (ENT), and home to SAMANILAI Diagnostic & Therapeutic Centre since 2023.
Our story
Complete ENT care, close to home
After years of teaching ENT at a medical college and leading ENT services at a large hospital, Dr. Udayakumar opened this clinic so that families in and around Tambaram would not need to travel across the city for specialist ear, nose and throat care.
The clinic was planned around one idea from the Thirukkural: find the illness, find its root cause, then treat it in the right way. That is why diagnostics sit at the centre of the practice, from endoscopes and microscopes in the consultation room to a full audiology suite and advanced vestibular testing at SAMANILAI.
Treatment follows the evidence. Medicine and rehabilitation come first when they work, and surgery, often under local anaesthesia, when it is truly needed.

Our vision
To build one of India’s leading integrated centres for ENT, hearing sciences, balance disorders and skull base surgery, combining diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery, rehabilitation, research, education and compassionate care.
